Draft pending professional legal review. This document describes how DiligenceControl actually behaves today. It has not been reviewed or approved by a lawyer, it is not legal advice, and no regulatory certification is claimed.
Cancellation and refund policy (draft)
What happens when a subscription is cancelled or a payment fails, written to match how the service actually behaves.
1. Current billing state
Paid subscriptions are not switched on. No page on this site can start a real charge, so no customer has been charged and no refund is currently owed to anyone. The plan names and allowances shown in the workspace are configuration for later activation.
2. How to cancel
Once paid subscriptions are active, an organization owner can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan and usage using the billing portal provided by the payment provider, or by emailing support@diligencecontrol.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period that has already been paid for.
3. What cancellation does not do
- Nothing is deleted when a subscription ends.
- Your organization keeps read access, downloads and exports for the records it already has.
- New deals and new document processing fall back to the Starter allowance until billing is active again.
- Permanent deletion only happens when an owner requests it.
4. Failed payments
If a payment fails, the payment provider retries it. Access is not removed and nothing is deleted; allowances fall back to Starter until payment succeeds. Entitlements are only ever changed by a signed event from the payment provider, never by visiting a page.
5. Refund requests
Refund requests are made by emailing support@diligencecontrol.com with the organization name and the charge date. Each request is reviewed individually and answered in writing. No fixed refund window, proration rule or statutory entitlement is stated here, because the commercial terms have not been settled or reviewed by a lawyer. Any mandatory consumer right in your jurisdiction applies regardless of this draft.
6. Status of this document
This is a draft prepared for later professional legal review. It is not a contract and no promise or guarantee should be read into it.
